hemosim is a web-based cardiac hemodynamic simulator, which is primarily designed for training and education. Its target audience includes medical students, internal medicine and cardiology fellows-in-training and cath lab nurses and technicians. hemosim provides an environment that allows users to interactively modify cardiac hemodynamic parameters, such as the degree of valvular stenosis and regurgitation, and to observe the effect on simulated intracardiac pressure tracings.

hemosim is built on top of the svtsim platform, which is an interactive cardiac electrophysiology simulator. The core hemodynamic model in hemosim is a modified Smith-Chase-Nokes-Shaw-Wake lumped-parameter model.
